Social Impact Fellowship

SCSE-UPenn Fellowship

Our fellowship program, in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania, reaches beyond Hillbrook to help young people in the broader community develop the entrepreneurial skillsets, mindsets, and confidence needed to create real social impact.

The Scott Center Social Impact Fellowship is a highly interactive virtual program in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Social Impact Strategy and Schoolyard Ventures. The program is designed to evolve high school students’ social impact skillset as they learn about entrepreneurship and experience it first-hand while earning a Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship. Fellows meet for weekly online lessons where they participate in lively discussions and learn how to launch ventures of their own that create value and a positive impact on society. Fellows have access to regular personalized guidance and support from the Schoolyard Ventures and SCSE teams.

Fellows participate in our annual Conversations for Good event, have the opportunity to apply for start-up funding and support for their venture, and are invited to serve as advisors to the Scott Center in its exploration of future global partnerships and programming. After completion of the program, fellows are eligible to apply for limited expansion funding from the Scott Center.
